Pangbourne College offers a limited number of scholarships to pupils who demonstrate exceptional academic ability or excellence in a major co-curricular specialism.
Please read the Scholarship brochure below to find out more information on the Scholarship Awards, the entry criteria, scholarship programme benefits and expectations.
Holding a scholarship is recognition of excellence in your specialist area, your potential to participate actively in the life of the college, and your contribution as a positive role model and leader.
In common with other independent schools, the College does not provide automatic fee remissions for holders of scholarships but some fee remission may be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship panel and, where appropriate, scholars may benefit from fee remission in the form of a means-tested bursary. Applications for bursaries may be submitted alongside the scholarship application. Pangbourne tends to invest the funds which would otherwise be used to provide discounts to deliver a dedicated scholarships programme, which will enable you to reach your full potential in your specialist area.
Award holders can expect additional tuition, lectures, visits and opportunities, depending on the type and specialism of the award you hold. Your progress will be closely monitored and mentoring within your specialism will be available.
Sports Scholars automatically join the Sports Performance Programme (SPP).

We welcome internal scholarship applications. If pupils would like to apply for an academic scholarship we would encourage a conversation with Mr Hammond as Head of Key Stage 3.
