Based at Pangbourne College’s Boat Club on the River Thames, the five-day camp offers elite coaching and tuition to ensure that all participants are able to have fun on the river whilst learning new skills and developing existing ones. This year’s camps will be led by Harry Brightmore, who won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as cox of the men’s eight and this year has been assistant coach at Oxford University Boat Club for both the men’s and women’s programmes.
The camps are open to boys and girls from any school aged 12 to 18. Priority will be given to current students and students joining Pangbourne College in September 2025. There are 20 spaces available each week.
The camp is suitable for rowers with less than a year’s rowing experience. Participants will need to be able to swim and they will have to take a swim test on the first morning of the camp.
On the final afternoon of the camp, there will be a collection of 'Regatta' style races. Parents are welcome to watch and support the rowers as they demonstrate their improvements!
