Yesterday marked a truly special moment with the official opening of Wessex House—a new supported living facility funded by the incredible charity A Bridge For Young People. This charity, which Pangbourne Parents’ Association (PPA) has proudly supported as a long-term donor for nearly eight years, provides vital support for young people leaving the care system, helping them transition into independent adult life.

Wessex House will offer a safe and secure home for nine young care leavers, providing not only a roof over their heads but also the stability and support needed to prevent homelessness and help them thrive.

Our support doesn’t stop with the PPA. More recently, our Sixth Form students have taken up the mantle, raising funds for A Bridge For Young People through a variety of initiatives—including a daring skydive! They are now close to reaching their ambitious target of £9,000.

If you are able, please consider donating to help our students cross the finish line and support this life-changing cause here:  https://www.justgiving.com/page/pangbourne-college-1731421358467?utm_term=EDXQ6NrbE&utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CL

Sadly, the need is greater than ever. Recent figures reveal that over 4,300 young care leavers are facing homelessness—a staggering 54% increase in the past five years.

As a College, we remain committed to supporting A Bridge For Young People and we look forward to seeing this essential charity continue to grow and transform lives.
