In a continued commitment to empowering young people and enriching local communities, Pangbourne College has awarded grants to eight schools and charities through its 2025 Community Fund Programme. Each organisation will receive up to £500 to support projects that foster educational, personal, and social development for children and young adults across the region.

The grants, awarded by the College’s Community Grants Committee - part of the Pangbournian Community Advisory Board - support a diverse range of programmes including literacy development, wellbeing and mental health support, career education, and enrichment activities.

This year’s grant recipients include:

  • Geoffrey Field Junior School (Whitley Excellence Cluster) – delivering targeted academic support to improve pupil outcomes.

  • Assisting Children to Read – empowering young learners with dedicated reading support.

  • All Yours Period Box – promoting menstrual health education and providing essential resources.

  • Education Business Partnership – enhancing career education and workplace readiness.

  • Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge School – funding extracurricular enrichment programmes.

  • Bridge for Young People – providing wellbeing and mentoring services.

  • Prior’s Court Foundation – supporting specialised learning for young people with complex autism.

  • Moorlands Primary School – introducing innovative classroom resources to improve learning access.

The Pangbourne College Community Fund is sustained through fundraising activities led by pupils, staff, and the wider school community. These initiatives not only generate financial support for local projects but also foster a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and social responsibility among students.

Mr Oliver Knight, Head of Pangbourne College, commented:  “I’m proud to see how this fund continues to empower local organisations and bring meaningful educational experiences to life. The projects we support go beyond academics—they nurture social skills, character, and personal growth, all of which are central to our ethos at Pangbourne.”

“Our pupils recognise the privilege of their education and are deeply committed to giving back. Through their fundraising efforts, they are making a real difference in the lives of young people across our community.”

Applications for the 2026 Community Fund are now open, with a submission deadline of 20 May 2026. Interested local schools, charities, and community organisations can apply via the online application form, with grants to be awarded in early June 2026.
